Field Trip to Maryland Live! Tour of the Cordish Collection with Suzi Cordish

Art Seminar Group members have the opportunity to engage in a private tour of The Cordish Art Collection, a contemporary art collection curated by Suzi Cordish for the Live! Hotel in Arundel Mills. Ms Cordish curated this collection over the course of three years, carefully selecting individual works and commissioning the creation of many others. Her vision was to provide a unique amenity for hotel guests through exposure to an exciting collection of work by international and regional artists: every piece in the collection reflects the exuberance and energy that defines the Live! brand. Using video, mixed media, sculpture, photography, and print media, the diverse collection is designed to engage the senses. The 40-plus works of art featured in the collection include an original work by Andy Warhol; sculptures from Not Vital and Mei-ling Hom; multimedia pieces from Jennifer Steinkamp, Charlie Ahn, and Chris Doyle; and a mixed media piece by Nick Cave. Suzi Cordish will give us a personal tour of the collection.
