The first major recognition of Cézanne’s greatness came about with the posthumous exhibition of his work in 1907 which established him as a father of Modernism. Yet his influence continued well past the generation of Picasso and Matisse, to artists who continue to find inspiration in his vision today. In this lecture, Georgievska-Shine will present on Cezanne’s influence and artistic legacy.
