This program will feature students from the Peabody Institute Vocal Studies Program who will present highlights from the Peabody Opera season. The Peabody Institute Vocal Studies Program is highly competitive and nationally renowned; each year over 100 singers come to Baltimore from all over the US and internationally to enroll in courses of study with our outstanding faculty, including undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate degrees. Two full main stage productions with orchestra are presented annually, as well as a smaller chamber opera production at the Baltimore Theatre Project, and opera scenes programs each semester. Alongside Historic Performance and contemporary opera study, students study art song, musical theater, and oratorio. Each student presents a full recital as part of their degree requirement. Graduates are performing throughout the United States and abroad, and have regularly been featured in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition.
