Members’ Program: Connecting With the Art of Your Place and Time: Cara Ober Presents an Introduction to Four Baltimore-based Artists With National Careers

Cara Ober, founder and editor-in-chief at BmoreArt

Cara Ober, founding editor-in-chief of BmoreArt, “Baltimore's Independent Art Magazine and Arts Platform”, will be speaking to Art Seminar Group about the work of four Baltimore-based artists who are reaching national audiences and acclaim.

BmoreArt’s mission is to elevate Baltimore’s story through the collective vision of Baltimore-based artists, writers, scholars, designers, photographers, and culture producers. BmoreArt is an independent, Baltimore-based magazine that publishes reviews, profiles, and cultural criticism on a daily basis online and a biannual print journal that is a collectible art object.

BmoreArt provides creative and critical coverage of the cultural landscape - their work is collaborative and community-based. Their team covers the art and culture of our city and the surrounding region, including Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia, as well as nationally and internationally relevant stories. They provide resources such as BmoreArt’s Picks, curated to emphasize the area’s best upcoming exhibits and events, a full calendar of cultural events, a gallery and resource guide, and exhibition opportunities. In addition to their publications, they host the Connect+Collect initiative for artists, collectors, and arts professionals out of their gallery and work space at 2519 N. Charles Street. The program includes a speaker series, studio visits and tours, art consulting, and gallery exhibitions.

Members-only program, no fee
